School Committee Meetings and Schedule
School Committee Meetings
The regular twice monthly meetings enable the School Committee to efficiently conduct all of the various transactions required by law. At these meetings the School Committee may take action (vote) on routine and non-routine motions. Public input is at the discretion of the Chair. Each School Committee meeting begins with a time for citizens’ concerns to be brought before the School Committee. While the Committee will not comment on such matters at the time, we will make every attempt to respond at an upcoming meeting when appropriate. Meetings generally last no more than 2.5 hours; agendas are available on the School Committee web page by the Friday preceding a meeting.
Schedule and Calendar
The starting time for all School Committee meetings is normally 6:30 pm unless otherwise noted.
All School Committee meetings will be held in Hybrid format in-person at the Homer Municipal Building Gallery Room and via Zoom link until further notice.
Executive Sessions, when scheduled, will begin at 5:30 p.m. and end promptly at 6:30 p.m. for the start of the regular meetings. If additional time for Executive Session is needed the sessions will be held after the conclusion of the School Committee meeting.
Meetings generally last no more than 2.5 hours; agendas are available on the School Committee Meeting Notices and Agendas web page by the Friday preceding a meeting.
