The AAPI Run has and will continue raising funds to support various AAPI events hosted by Belmont-based nonprofit organizations, including Belmont Chinese American Association (BCAA) and Belmont Celebrates AAPI Heritage (BCAH). This year the AAPI Run will make a special donation in the amount of $1,500 to Belmont Media Center to purchase an updated livestreamer that will allow the BMC to stream in higher resolution (up to 4K) for events and sports.

BHS A Cappella Night – April 10, 2025 @ 7:00pm
The annual BHS A Cappella Night has become a fun spring tradition for a cappella fans young and old. Students and community members are encouraged to come cheer on the BHS Claypit Crooners as they perform with choral groups from Natick, Lexington and Needham. This year’s special guests are the Nor’Easters, the premiere a cappella group at Northeastern University and the winner of the 2023 Boston Sings (BOSS) A Cappella Festival and the 2019 National A Cappella Convention (NACC), among other awards. The singing starts at 7 p.m. in the BMHS Auditorium. A $10 donation for adults at the door is suggested.

BHS Pops Concerts – April 16 & 17, 2025 @ 6:30 pm
Don’t miss the upcoming BHS Pops Concerts! Featuring selections from movies, musicals and popular artists, this two-night event includes the Concert Orchestra, Symphonic Band and Concert Chorale on April 16, and Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Singers, Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble on April 17. Each concert begins at 6:30 and is followed by a dessert reception along with music from small groups. Tickets are available at https://pomsbelmont.booktix.com/. All proceeds benefit POMS (Parents of Music Students), the booster organization supporting music education throughout grades K-12 in the Belmont Public Schools.

Belmont Community Band
Belmont’s new adult concert band was developed in collaboration with Powers Music School and POMS and is designed for adult musicians of all skill levels who play woodwind, brass or percussion.
Whether you are a capable musician, a new player or a former high school musician who wants to experience the joy of band again, the Belmont Community Band is for you!
A portion of each participation fee helps POMS support K-12 music in the Belmont Public Schools with guest artists and conductors, instruments and equipment, scholarships and more.

The design firm behind the Chenery Park revitalization project, ASK+, will be at Chenery to share the 3 proposed design ideas (attached) and solicit feedback from members of the Chenery community. They will set up tables under the maple trees by the softball fields. They will present the design schematics and have ballots to vote for your favorite design. Reminder:
· If you have registered your player for the BYBA Travel program, you SHOULD NOT register separately for the In-town program. In-town program registration is included as part of Travel registration.
· If you are unsure if you registered for Travel, please log into your TeamSnap account (www.teamsnap.com) to check.

Registration for Belmont Flag Football League is open!
Applications are being accepted for the fall 2024 league for children who are currently in grades K - 8. Games will be played on Sundays with 8 regular season games plus play-off games. The main site of the games will be the Belmont Hill School in Belmont.
Belmont Flag Football League is a non-contact version of football where young players can develop their passing, catching and defending skills. The BFFL is for BOTH Boys & Girls. The games will be played by the Official National Flag Football rules. Each player who is placed on a team will receive a NFL replica jersey with NFL team colors with matching shorts and a flag belt and flags.
