The Chenery PTO DEI Committee was formed with the below mission:

• To support and promote the full inclusion and sense of belonging for all families and children in the Chenery School community regardless of anyone's identity or background.
• To serve as a liaison to the Chenery School administration, Belmont's School Committee, and Belmont's Diversity Task Force to: 1. advocate for the Belmont Public Schools to extend its diversity, equity, and inclusion work and to make a long-term commitment and investment in this work and 2. give voice to the experiences of all Chenery School families and children regarding matters involving diversity, equity, and inclusion issues.

The committee has a separate email, monitored by the DEICommittee Co-Chairs (currently Caleb Collins and Natalie Leino).  This is a fantastic way for parents to communicate ideas and concerns centered around diversity, equity and inclusion at Chenery, as well as to inform the PTO presidents and DEIcommittee about specific incidents.  Please reach out!  The email address is cheneryptoDEI@gmail.com.
