ARRIVAL: Staff members on duty should report to their assigned areas no later than 7:25 am to meet students so that they can be monitored in their waiting areas. Students must remain outside until the cafeteria opens at 7:25. Only students who are eating breakfast may enter the building. They must leave after breakfast is consumed. No food may be consumed outside.

Students will report to their morning waiting area and at the corresponding class/team mark on the plaza. See map in appendix, instructions to families.

Students will line up upon hearing the signal at 7:43 am. Students will proceed by class/teaminto the building using their assigned stairwell.

Grade 4- Autumn

Grade 5- Winter

Grade 6- Summer (Fire & Earth)

Grade 6- Summer (Air & Water)

The Spring (Spiral) Staircase may not be used by students unless they are accompanied by a teacher.

DISMISSAL:

Students in grades 4-6 are walked from their last class period to the first floor where they proceed to the (a) Buses at the back of the school, (b) BASEC in the cafeteria, or (c) Parent-Pick Up at the Main Entrance on Washington Street.

All students at the Chenery are old enough to walk or bike home independently. If you would NOT like your child to walk or bike unsupervised, please communicate this to your childʼshomeroom teacher.
