Fundraising: Fundraising Committee Chairs manage the PTO Annual Appeal in coordination with the PTO Treasurers. This role is busiest during the fall.
5th Grade Activities: This role involves organizing a social event for 5th grade students and families.
6th Grade Activities: This role involves organizing a social event for 5th grade students and families.
Chenery Directory: Each year the PTO creates a student directory. Data is provided by the school district (with parental permission) and volunteers format the information and solicit sponsors to create the resource.
Staff Appreciation Treat Week and Luncheon: Committee members solicit treats and supplies from families to celebrate Chenery’s hard-working staff.
PTO Clubs: Clubs Coordinators plan, publicize and manage after school PTO special interest classes. There are 3 sessions throughout the school year, 8-10 weeks each.
Green Team: The Chenery Green team works on building-based waste reduction, recycling, and environmental projects and coordinates with the district-wide Green Team on larger scale efforts. Additionally, the Green Team organizes Walk to School Days and assists with landscaping projects.
Enrichment: In conjunction with teachers and administration, this committee organizes all in-school enrichment programming and several author visits.
Grant Writers: Grant Writers explore and apply for grants to support PTO efforts. Additionally, Grant Writers are available as a resource to teachers.
