Before and After School
BASEC @ Belmont Middle School
BASEC @ BMHS Grades 7-8 is an after school program that operates under the auspices of the non-profit Belmont After School Enrichment Collaborative, or BASEC. BASEC provides students with a bridge between school and home, designed specifically to meet the social, enrichment, and academic needs of middle school youth. With a well-developed curriculum, BASEC imparts important 21st century skills including organizational skills, community service, social awareness, communication, creative problem solving, mindfulness, collaboration and teamwork. BASEC also offers a unique academic support program for 7th and 8th grade students. This academic support combines creating and maintaining effective and efficient routines with targeted content support when needed. Academic support is an enrollment option or an "extra" benefit for any regularly-enrolled student.
BASEC @ BMHS Grades 7-8 is offered to all students in grades 7&8. It is fee based depending on the number of days students participate.
