Sessions: Three sessions per school year (Fall, Winter, Spring), 6 weeks per session
Class Length: Once a week, 1-hour classes
Morning classes: 7:35am-8:35am
Afternoon classes: 2:50pm-3:50pm, except Wednesdays when classes run 1:40pm-2:40pm
Instructors: Winn Brook teachers, parents, and independent artists and professionals
Monitors: On-site monitors handle attendance, dismissal, and safety
Pricing: Classes range from $100-$180. This fee covers instructor compensation and materials. Proceeds go to the PTA.

Dismissal Procedures
How does my child get to class? And how are they dismissed?
For morning gym classes, students enter through the gym doors near the Joey's park parking lot. For morning classes held in other parts of the building, children enter via the school’s main doors on Waterhouse Rd., and can walk themselves to the class location. For younger students, office staff will help ensure students get to their class location. Students are dismissed in time to begin the school day with their classmates.
For afternoon classes, students in grades 1-3 walk themselves to the class location, while K students are escorted by Extracurricular staff. At the end of class, students in the WBExL (Aftercare) program are brought to that location by their Extracurricular instructor. Students being picked up as well as those third graders allowed to walk home (with permission) are brought to the main lobby and then dismissed via the main entrance on Waterhouse Rd.
Can my child attend WBExL AND Extracurriculars?
Yes, and many do! Please note that these are two separate programs and there is no cost-sharing. Students enrolled in WBExL pay the same fees as other students for Extracurriculars, and do not receive a discount from the WBExL program.
How to Register
All registrations take place online at winnbrook.recdesk.com. It is a first-come, first-served system. Some classes fill up within minutes of registration opening, so you are encouraged to sign up early! Each family must create their own account on RecDesk to register and can log in to this same account for future registrations. Payments are only accepted via credit card. A waitlist option is available once a class is full, and you will be contacted if a space opens.
Follow these steps to create a new RecDesk Account prior to registration:
Go to Winnbrook RecDesk and click "Create Account"
Enter Parent Info:
Complete the required fields (marked with red asterisks)
Check “Head of Household”
Do not enter student info yet
Create Account Login:
Choose a username and password
Click “Submit” to create your household
Add Your Child(ren):
Click “Add Household Member”
Enter each child’s information
You're all set!
Use the “Programs” tab to browse and register for classes
