Belmont students entering grades K–12 in September 2026 — plus graduating seniors — are invited to participate in the 2026 Mini-Forest Mini-Poetry Contest celebrating the new Belmont High School Mini-Forest.
This year’s theme, “The Mini-Forest Comes to Life!”, encourages students to write an original poem of 10 lines or fewer. Winning poems and honorable mentions will be featured at the October 3 Mini-Forest Dedication Ceremony and displayed on the forest fence for the community to enjoy.
Prizes include native plants and gift certificates to local Belmont ice cream shops! Submissions are due by Friday, September 4, 2026. Separate prize categories are available for grades K–3, 4–6, 7–8, and 9–13. View submission form
