Opening Remarks

THANK YOU, we raised $19,935 for the Fun Run!

We had a beautiful fall day for the Fun Run, the kids had a blast, and we raised $19,935, just a few dollars short of our $20,000 goal. THANK YOU for your generosity and for supporting our school community! Donations can still be made through October 27 on our Wellington Fun Run page.

Notable Mentions

Fall Spirit Wear is Back! Show off your Wellington Pride.

The store is open with our spring bestsellers and new hoodies, tie-dye, beanies, flannels and a new line of Sport-Tek pullovers!

Store is open through Friday, November 3 and orders will ship directly to your home, arriving in time for the holidays. View the shop and place orders here

In-School Enrichment Highlight - Kindergarten!

This week the Acton Discovery Museum visited the kindergarten classes to teach them about Liquids & Solids. Students watched crayons melt with the help of a blow dryer and students observed the differences between chocolate chips melting in their hands & ice cubes melting in their hands. Lastly students became engineers and created their own insulated cups to keep ice cubes from melting!

Thank You To...

Our amazing Fundraising team Allison Dahl & Lucy Seche for organizing a very successful Fun Run! And to all of our volunteers! And to all of our generous donors! Thanks to you, we will
continue to fund the many programs, activities and materials that enrich our students’ learning experiences at Wellington.

Superintendent Jill Geiser and School Committee Chair, Meg Moriarty for attending our PTO board meeting last Monday evening. Dr. Geiser gave a presentation that highlighted how an override in the April 2024 election will be required to provide everything from basic needs to keep the schools open to the high quality educational experiences we have come to expect from our Belmont Public Schools.

Open Positions

The PTO runs on our volunteer engine and we have many opportunities throughout the year for families and guardians to participate and support our students. The best place to start is by completing our PTO Volunteer Interest form - here

Important note to all volunteers: Everyone will receive a CORI form (one per household - feel free to make a copy) in your Communications Folder. If you can support the PTO and would like to volunteer, CORI forms are required for every parent volunteer. You must bring the completed form and a form of ID to the Wellington office to complete the process. CORIs are valid for three years! We highly recommend you get these completed early in the school year.
