Opening Remarks

  • The Scholastic Book Fair Is Here! 
    Wellington’s Community Room has been transformed into an extravaganza of books for our children. We invite you and your family to explore the adventures, mysteries and magic found in these books. We are aiming to grow Bolder, Prouder, Stronger Readers! Time is guaranteed!
      
    Classes will visit the Book Fair with their teachers for a special preview during the day on Nov. 10th and 14th. The Book Fair will be opening early to the public on Monday, 11/14 from 4pm - 8pm - and continuing November 15th - 17th (schedule below). A portion of the sales during the Book Fair will go to the Wellington PTO which will help fund our kids’ enrichment programs and field trips.
  • Book Fair Hours!
    Come shop the Book Fair while it’s open to the public during the following hours:
    Monday, Nov. 14th, 4 - 8PM
    Tuesday, Nov. 15th, 8 - 10 AM, 2 - 8 PM
    Wednesday, Nov. 16th, 8 - 10 AM, 2 - 8 PM
    Thursday, Nov. 17th, 8 - 10 AM, 2 - 6 PM
  • Volunteers! We Still Need Your Help! 
    Pick up a shift, please! We are still looking for a few more volunteers to join us running the cash registers and sales floor in the afternoon and evening hours. Add your name to the schedule: Book Fair Sign Up. A completed CORI checks and confidentiality forms are required for all volunteers - visit the Wellington main office to submit.

Thank you to our extremely considerate parents, Erika Wolf and Andrea Dandridge, who worked to enforce safe traffic patterns last week in the bus drop-off lane and on School Street. As a reminder, this area is not a place to park and drop-off students.

If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the Wellington PTO Volunteer Interest Form 2022-23!

  • ASE is hiring for our Winter and Spring, 7 Week sessions! Interested in teaching a one hour class? We can’t offer this popular program without instructors. Parents / Guardians have taught classes in running, meditation, languages, and LEGO just to name a few! Have an idea? We’d love to hear from you! ase.wellington@gmail.com
  • Our dynamic After School Extracurricular team is expanding. Come and be a part of this rewarding program! Help to brainstorm new offerings, develop the schedule, liaise with teachers and outside vendors, communicate with families! Job can be done remotely. Reach out to ase.wellington@gmail.com for more information.

Reminders:

  • Please remember to be considerate when parking around Wellington and do not block the crosswalks or the driveways of our neighbors. There is no active pick up. Please do not pull into the parking lot or driveway at dismissal to retrieve your child.
  • Please help make field trips, in-school enrichment programs and teacher appreciation events (and more!) possible this year by making an annual donation to the PTO. Every dollar you give supports Wellington students, teachers and our community, and it's tax deductible.
