Thanks for Joining Us at Moozy's!

It was great to see many new and familiar faces at Moozy's last Monday to get our community together and raise a little money for our school.  Moozy's donated 10% of all sales from 3-6pm which totaled $205.40 to be exact!  All funds raised go right back to supporting our classrooms and teachers to enrich our children's Burbank experience.  Thank you everyone for supporting the Burbank PTA and keep an eye out for more community events just like this in the future!

Save The Date - Upcoming Fall Happenings

PTA Open House on 10/4 from 5-7pm at Comella's - Enjoy a night at Comella's with the Burbank community.  The PTA Board will be available to answer any questions and provide information on upcoming events. 10% of all proceeds go to the Burbank PTA.

Burbank Lights The Way on Thursday, October 19th - This community event returns for its 2nd year; more details to come soon!

PTA Extracurricular Classes

Registration is now open!   Check out https://burbank.schooltwist.org to see the fall extracurricular class offerings brought to you by the Burbank PTA.  Remember - every dollar that the PTA makes through these classes goes right back to the school community we love. Spots are filling up quickly so don't delay!

A Note from our Library Aide, Ms. Watson

Hello from the Burbank Library! Students will soon be invited to the library to check out books. Students borrow one book at a time, and books are signed out for a one week period.

Please help your child to return the book weekly on their library day.  A new book can be checked out only once the previous book is returned. If your child has an unreturned book, they will still be able to browse and read during their library time. (If a book is lost or damaged, we ask for payment to cover the cost of the book or replacement of the book with the same or a similar book).

Please remind your child to treat our library books with care and help locate a safe spot at home to store books while in the child’s care.

Volunteer During Your Child's Library Time!

Sign up to volunteer to help out in the library when your child's class visits each week!  Your child spends between 15-30 minutes in the library each week and you can be there to help their class check books out, shelving returned books or even reading a book to the class (K and 1st grade classes).  The extra set of hands is greatly appreciated by our Library Aide, Ms. Watson and allows you to be a part of showing your child the wonderful world of children’s literature!  Please use the following link to sign up for an upcoming slot for your child's classroom using the tabs along the top to navigate to your child's grade:  Library Volunteers Sign-Ups

If you are new to the library you will need to first fill out a CORI form with Mrs. Sacca. Please take 5 minutes to review the Library Training Slides before your slot which introduces you to the responsibilities of the volunteer that would be great.  If you don't have a chance to review the slides, no worries. Just arrive 5 minutes early and Ms. Watson or another volunteer can walk you through the routine.

Keep our Burbank Garden Alive!

Please consider joining the Burbank Garden Committee this school year!  Each grade classroom will spend time in the garden during the school year, and the fruits of their labor can be seen throughout the year if we help them to maintain the garden!  There are various roles you can sign up for, and some don't even require any gardening skills.  Volunteer roles range from Veggie Garden Maintenance to Grade Level Enrichment Coordination to Summer Garden Management.  For more information or to volunteer to help, please email the Burbank PTA and we'll get you in touch with our Garden Committee.
