Upcoming Parent Workshops March 15th and April 1st

Next week, please join us as Brittany Jordan-Arthur, PhD, explores different types of coping strategies for children, shares age-appropriate ways to teach coping to our loved ones, and answers audience questions about the mental health benefits that healthy coping can bring to our whole families.

First Talk: Supporting Children through Big Emotions.

Kids experience all kinds of feelings—but may not necessarily know how to deal with them or how to cope with when they come up. It’s important that we help them learn the skills to manage their emotions, thoughts, and reactions in healthy and productive ways. By doing so, we can help them build skills that can increase well-being in adulthood and prevent unhealthy coping strategies as they get older.

For families who cannot attend, the webinar will be recorded and available for viewing for 30 days following the presentation.

A Second Talk on April 1st: Supporting Students Through Stress

The focus of this webinar is to increase our understanding of the challenges facing students today and spotlight strategies parents and caregivers can use to support students in navigating stress while living full and rewarding lives.

Specifically, this webinar will cover interventions to build resilience and address stress reactions in students. We will discuss approaches to improve communication and understanding, promote resilience, and coach youth through big emotions and stressors. Attention to how COVID-19 and current societal stressors play a role will be addressed throughout.
