Dear Wellington Families,
We hope that you had wonderful vacation with your children. It was so lovely to see the sun shining, the birds singing, and the parks filled with children. We are writing to share some information with you.
Here again is the form on which parents/guardians of students currently in grades K -3 can place their feedback related to next year's class placement. The completed form is due on April 28th. Just a reminder - we cannot honor requests for specific teachers or classmates; teachers work hard to make sure students are thoughtfully placed with learning partners who help them to grow and flourish.
Chenery Middle School will be hosting an incoming fifth grade parent/guardian information night on May 25th from 6:00-7:00 pm in our auditorium. This will be for adults only (no students). Students will be provided tours in late spring and again in August. For this evening event, administration will welcome families who may be new to our school, provide an overview of what to expect at CMS in the grade 5 year, as well as provide time for question and answers from parents. Here are some helpful documents as well.
BPS staff email addresses will change on May 4th. The new email address will now be @belmontschools.net. For example, the current email address: jsmith@belmont.k12.ma.us will become: jsmith@belmontschools.net. Emails sent to @belmont.k12.ma.us after May 4 will be forwarded until December, 2022.
Construction will be continuing on School Street and police will be patrolling our traffic patterns in the area. Please follow all traffic rules including dropping off children only in our live drop-off area in the front of our school in the morning and avoiding our fire lane at all other times in the day. These rules are designed to keep all members of our community safe.
