Tomorrow and Into the Summer

Dear Wellington Families,

I can’t believe that the school year is coming to an end.  It has been a year of loss, separation, and hardship as well as resiliency, collaboration, ingenuity, and joy.  Thank you for allowing us into your homes remotely, for your flexibility as we adjusted to expected and unexpected changes, and for your on-going warmth and support. Most importantly, thank you for sharing your incredible children with us.  We will miss our graduating 4th graders and are looking forward to beginning a more “normal” year with our returning students in the fall.

Here are some updates for the end of the school year:

Last Day of School

Tomorrow is the last day of school.  Dismissal is at 11:40 and no lunch will be served.

4th Grade Final Walkthrough

We will be celebrating our 4th graders at their final walkthrough celebration tomorrow. Here is the plan we will follow tomorrow.  Anyone who wants to cheer on our fourth graders is welcome to join us along the outdoor route.  Dismissal will take place for fourth graders after the walkthrough at approximately 11:30 and then for all other students at 11:40.

Class Lists

Class lists will be sent out digitally later in the summer. Students will then receive a letter in the mail from their new classroom teachers.

And Most Importantly….

I wish you and your children a wonderful summer together. I hope that you have a chance to run on the beach, take walks, play outside, read, relax, and unwind.  I will be around during the summer.  Feel free to reach out to say hello or have your children write me a letter. I promise to write back.

With best regards for a fun and peaceful break,
