A Word of Thanks

Dear Wellington Families,

I can’t believe today is the last day of school!  It has been a year filled with challenge, growth, sickness, health, hard work, and most of all - joy.  Our students have demonstrated strength and resiliency and have achieved so much; we are really proud of them.  We are also incredibly grateful to all of you for your partnership and support.

We want to wish a special thank you to:

  • Everyone who volunteered this year in our library (click on the link for a thank you note from our library staff), at our PTO events, and who gave generously of their time to our school. We want to wish a special thank you to our fourth grade families who are moving on from Wellington. We will miss you and are grateful for your years of support.
  • Every parent/guardian who supported your child(ren) during these past tumultuous years. COVID has made life more complicated for all of us and we deeply appreciate the ways in which you have helped your children to thrive.
  • Everyone who read with your child, woke your child up in the morning, helped to manage your child’s electronics, materials, and belongings, and kept abreast of all of our changing health and safety regulations.  We truly appreciate all that you do!

Report Cards will become available on-line later today.  We are excited to share all of the progress your children have made this year.  Due to Mr. McMahan’s absence, there will be no grades in the music section of the report card.

Finally, we want to wish the best of luck to all of our fourth graders and their families. We are proud of all that they have accomplished and know that they will do great at the Chenery!

Have a fun, relaxing, and rejuvenating summer. We will be in touch with placement information for returning families later in the summer. In the meantime, feel free to be in touch or come by and visit. We wish everyone a wonderful vacation.

With warmest regards,

Heidi and Molly
