Grade 5 Music Selection

Our hope is for students to find success in an ensemble that they enjoy, and that they will choose to continue participating in music throughout their time in the Belmont Public Schools. The music faculty will present all of the options to students during the first few weeks of school. Below you can find some basic information about each option. More information is available on the BPS VPA website.

BHS Music - NOLA Trip Meeting, 9/17 @ 7 PM

We will host an Informational Meeting about the NOLA Trip on Tuesday, 9/17 at 7 PM in the BHS Auditorium. Students are invited to attend along with their families though they are not required to be in attendance. The owner of our tour company, Frank Davis, will be here that evening to provide an overview of the trip and answer your questions.

CMS Band Updates

We are writing to inform you of a recent development in the CMS Music Department. Sharon Phipps informed us last week that she would not be returning to CMS this fall, as she has decided to move on to a new opportunity outside of Belmont. Ms. Phipps was an incredibly dedicated teacher in our music program for many years, and we are grateful for all of her work with the music students in Belmont. We wish her all the best as she moves on to explore new challenges and opportunities in her career.
