Belmont School Committee policy determines the extent to which pupils in Kindergarten through Grade 12 are transported by bus. The Belmont Public Schools’ policy for providing busing will follow the State guidelines, and busing for students will be available for a fee. School Crossing Guards are provided by the Belmont Police Department to assist walkers in crossing some busy streets.
Pupils in special education programs are also transported if an out-of-district placement is required.
Bus routes are published annually prior to the start of school in the local newspaper and are always available in the school offices and on the district web site.
The METCO office handles the route and times for the Boston bus, which transports Boston students to and from all Belmont schools.
