Hello Chenery Community,

Please see the message below crafted by Belmont Helps and donate if you can. There are several Chenery families impacted by this, and we want to do what we can to support them during this trying time.

Thank you,

Jenny Kresse and Jess Smith

Last week, 75 residents in the 40 units at 125 Trapelo Road were forced to evacuate from their homes with little notice due to identified structural challenges presented in the building. This has created major disruption in these individuals' lives. They are out of their homes with only what they could pack in a suitcase, some staying with family and friends, some in hotels needing funding.  Without knowing when or whether these residents will be able to return, the Town of Belmont, Metro Housing-Boston, the Belmont Housing Trust, the Department of Housing and Community Development and Belmont Helps have united to fundraise and connect much needed support.

We are asking for donations to the 125 Trapelo Road Evacuees Fund established by Metro Housing-Boston (a 501(c)(3) organization), connecting funds and assistance -- food & gift cards, temporary housing, supplies as needed, etc -- in this time of transition.

Please donate here https://bit.ly/125Trapelo to support these Belmont residents. Huge thanks to The Salvation Army for feeding those in hotels & to the many Belmont Helps volunteers & beyond for helping during this challenging time. Please donate & share this with your network of friends & community members
