WELCOME TO THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR! We are all excited to get back to school and welcome our Chenery students back as we continue the process of truly becoming the Chenery Upper Elementary School.

We will host a quick tour of the CUE on Friday, September 1st. Tours are for students only to give them a chance to see their new learning environment. Parents can drop children off by the back parking lot entrance and wait with them before the tour begins. Students will be dismissed in the same area.

We are happy to announce that Ms. Barbara O'Brien has been offered the position of Interim Chenery Upper Elementary School Principal, starting on August 7, 2023. Her contract will be for one year, through June 30, 2024. Ms. O'Brien is the former Principal of the Albert F. Argenziano School in the Somerville Public Schools. Most recently, she served as the Interim Principal of the Beebe School in Malden, Massachusetts, so she knows the uniqueness of an "interim" role quite we...

The Summer Reading Lists are a joint project of the Belmont Public Schools and the Belmont Public Library. They are designed to encourage students in Belmont to make reading a habit, raising both their interest in and level of reading. All middle school students are expected to read over the summer.
