June 12, 2022
Dear CMS Community,
It is our last full week of school! Please see our calendar below for all the upcoming events.
We will be having a locker clean out this week. Stay tuned for that announcement. Also, please remind your child(ren) to check out the lost and found items that will be set out on tables in front of the main office.
Grade 8 students will be celebrating the end of their middle school experience for the next 7 days with spirit week, class competitions, and our move up ceremony. This new tradition of a spirit week is one we are excited about because students earn points for their teams not only for participation in the spirit days, but also in the collecting of food and household items to be donated to the Belmont Food Pantry. Celebration and service to others are all part of the quest for the Class Cup! Please see emails from Mr. DiStefano, Assistant Principal of the Upper School, for detailed information.
Have a wonderful week ahead!
Respectfully,
Karla B. Koza, Principal

CHEETAH SPOT
Does your child ride a school bus or can’t make it to the store when it is open? If so, they can pick up a green order form outside of the school store and follow the directions on the form. Students can use the order form to place and receive an order so they don’t miss the bus.

JOIN THE BELMONT JUNIOR MARAUDERS
The Belmont Junior Marauders were created to provide Belmont’s 7th and 8th graders with the opportunity to play grade based NO weight limit football. The majority of our players have never participated in tackle football and as we enter our sixth season, the program has been very successful. Some of our players go on to play at BHS and others play their last game of tackle football in the 8th grade. The team participates in the Eastern Massachusetts Middle School Football League and will play teams from Winchester, Arlington, Bedford, Melrose, Reading, Concord, and Woburn among other regional middle school teams.
Preseason will begin in late August and games are played on Wednesday afternoons. Once school begins practices will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. We attempt to have bus transportation to away games, however, there may be times when we rely on parents to drive kids to the games.
Registration forms are available on our website at the attached link or you may also request a registration form or additional information by sending an email to: jrmarauderfootball@gmail.com www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp?url=jrmarauders
