All my best, Julie
Chenery Middle School will be hosting an incoming fifth grade parent/guardian information night on May 25th from 6:00-7:00 pm in our auditorium. This will be for adults only (no students). Students will be provided tours in late spring and again in August. For this evening event, administration will welcome families who may be new to our school, provide an overview of what to expect at CMS in the grade 5 year, as well as provide time for questions and answers from parents. Here are some helpful documents as well.

As a friendly reminder, the official start of the school day is 8:35am when the bell rings. While Butler staff may be outside at that time, they are responsible for helping students line up and walk into the building. Children who are playing on the play structure are still under parent/guardian supervision. Much is the same at the end of the day after the school day ends at 2:50pm. We welcome children and families to use the play structure area before and after school, but want to make sure everyone is safe.
You know what’s better than boba, dancing, singing, fashion shows, free prizes, game shows, or kick-butt martial arts demonstrations? The answer: all of these things at one event! Join us on Friday, May 20th at 6 PM in the BHS auditorium for Asian Culture Night in a celebration of the diversity of Asian culture this AAPI heritage month. Whether it’s a heart-pulling traditional guzheng instrumental performance or a high-energy K-pop dance break, there’s something for everyone at Asian Culture Night!
Ticket Prices: Student - $7 Adult - $12 2 & under - free
Doors open at 5:30 PM, show begins at 6 PM To reserve tickets or ask questions, email us at belmonthsasianclub@gmail.com
Asian Culture Night is a long-standing tradition of the Asian American Club, a fundraising event that brings the Belmont community together for an evening of quality performances from fellow students and local performers, showcasing a mixture of traditional and modern acts featuring martial arts, dance, traditional instrumental performances, and more. The event will also include raffles and a concession stand with boba and other snacks to keep audience members engaged throughout the show!
We aim to share aspects of our club members’ cultures that they may not usually have the opportunity to share at the high school, in order to promote unity through diversity. Through this show, we hope to uphold these goals and show the community in Belmont and neighboring towns the diversity of Asia, celebrating it as a culturally rich continent rather than as one monolithic group.
