Reminders from Our School Nurse

From Our School Nurse

Daily Symptom Check

Please remember to do the Daily Symptom Checker each day that your child is scheduled to attend in person school. This will determine if your child is well enough to come to school each day.

If you answer YES to any of the questions on the symptom checker:
  1. Please do not send your child to school.

  2. Be sure to fill out the Butler Student Absence Form which will automatically submit your results to your school nurse. Your School Nurse will follow up with you to assist in your plan of care for your child.

  3. You must still call and report your child’s absence per the normal protocol.

  4. Please consult with your primary care provider for medical advice.

If you answer NO to all questions

1.Your child can report to school

2. No further action is needed.

Travel

Per Massachusetts guidelines, families who travel to an area designated as a HOTSPOT must quarantine for 14 days or produce a negative PCR COVID-19 test result. For details, please see the Massachusetts COVID-19  travel order.

Please be sure to keep this in mind as we approach weekends and upcoming holidays!

Please refer to the BPS nursing website for questions related to COVID 19 and school policies.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for doing your part to help decrease potential health risks to our school community.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact your School Nurse.
