Tips for ending the school year strong
Joyful June Calendar
Important Dates
As you know, the last day of school for the 2022-2023 school year is June 22, 2022. This time of year can be filled with many mixed emotions for students (and families and staff!). Below are some suggestions to help your student end the school year strong that are elaborated on in this article by Prepared Parents.
Schedule a parent/kid conference (1:1 with your student)
Maintain focus by setting goals
Reflect and celebrate accomplishments
Build a portfolio
Document unique learning experiences
Plot a plan for summer learning
In addition, if you are interested in exploring some of the learning topics your student will engage in next year, the resources below are worth exploring:
The National PTA has created guides for parents for all grade levels, K through High School. They can be found here.
The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education have created Family Guides for all grade levels, PreK through High School. They can be found here.
There is a website called "Action for Happiness" and they define themselves as follows:
Action for Happiness brings people together and provides practical resources. We help each other learn evidence-based skills for happier living, feel a sense of belonging and commit to personal action to create more happiness, for ourselves and others.
I hope you can find a few minutes to explore the "Joyful June" calendar and that you are able to find lots of joyful moments in June with all of the people in your world.
