Burbank Newsletter - December 4th, 2020

Dear Burbank Families,

Return to Hybrid

As I hope you saw in the communication from the Superintendent, we will be returning to Hybrid (or in-person) Learning in the coming week.
We are delighted to welcome students back to Burbank, and I have a few reminders help make the transition work for everyone.

Enjoy the weekend,

Mr. Okie

We will continue the Cohort Schedule that was shared with you in late October.  Next week  Monday - Wednesday are Cohort A days, and Thursday and Friday are Cohort B days.

Inclement Weather

Snow has been predicted for this weekend. While I hope the rest of the school week is free from precipitation, based on the forecast, it seems likely that snow will remain on the grounds at Burbank.  Please send your child(ren) prepared to wait outside in the morning and enjoy recess outside.  I recommend boots and even snow pants.

Library Night

I am looking forward to Burbank's Library Night next Wednesday at 6:30!  The event will be virtual (links to come) and will feature several special guest readers.  We hope your family will be able to attend.

McLean’s Workshop

Earlier this week families were welcomed to hear from experts from the McLean’s School Consultation Service about helping children to manage the stress and anxiety associated with this pandemic.  This is such a challenging time for all of us, and as a parent and an educator I found the presentation to be valuable and informative.  In case you missed it, here are the links to the presentation:
