The PTA manages two gardens at the school.  The Garden Classroom is used for lessons and activities throughout the year and is found between the building and the playground.  The Veggie Garden is located behind the school at the edge of the parking lot.  Families are welcome to enter and explore the gardens any time!  There is even a Little Free Library in the Garden Classroom where you can take or leave a book.  These gardens are a wonderful asset and enrichment tool for the school - they also need a lot of volunteers.  There are many small jobs that anyone can learn, and it is a wonderful activity to participate in outside of school hours with your kids of all ages.  (No green thumb required!  All tools and as much training as you need provided!)  Each fall and spring every class does at least one lesson in the garden, learning about everything from insects to plant life cycles to specific foods used by Native Americans.
