Make a donation to the Burbank PTA

The Burbank PTA is an essential partner to the Burbank School, and your contribution directly helps enrich your child’s school experience. All the activities and events listed on our calendar are supported by the PTA budget.  In addition, every year we support the school with staff grants, new books, teacher appreciation activities, and more.

We don’t ask kids and parents to become salespeople. We ask you to contribute whatever you’re comfortable giving, but if you want a suggested number, we suggest $125 per Burbank student. (Many companies also will match employee donations, so don't forget to ask your employer if they do!)

Corporate Matching FAQ

At Burbank PTA, we're dedicated to supporting our school and its community of students, teachers, and parents through financial and programming collaboration. An easy way to double your contribution is through employee giving programs.

Many corporations match employee donations to organizations like the PTA.

If you volunteer with us, your employer may also provide matching dollars for the hours you contribute at the school. And if you donate, they may also provide a matching contribution to double the generosity.

Thanks for checking to see if your company offers these programs and will match your donation to support Burbank PTA! Companies that have known matching programs include Bank of America, Fidelity, Northrup Grumman, Salesforce, and VMware.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are employee matching gift programs?

A:  Many companies match their employees' contributions to eligible non-profit organizations (US-based 501(c)(3)) through corporate giving programs. It's an easy way to double your contribution to us!

Q: What are volunteer grant programs?

A: Volunteer grant programs are corporate giving programs in which companies provide monetary donations to organizations where employees volunteer regularly. If you volunteer with us, it's an easy way to provide us with additional financial support!

Q: How do I request a matching gift or volunteer grant?

A: Requesting a matching gift or volunteer grant is normally a five minute process which must be initiated by the donor / volunteer. You can do this by filling out and submitting a paper match form provided by your employer or through an electronic submission process depending on who your employer uses for corporate giving, such as Benevity.  Benevity for instance is the platform used by Microsoft, Google and Merck to name a few large companies. Consult your HR or Benefits Department for your company's program details and instructions for "matching funds" for "501(c)(3)" charitable organizations.

Q: Does corporate matching benefit my employer?

A: Definitely. Corporations are happy to do match donations for two reasons. First, they get tax deductions, and it also allows them to be good corporate citizens.

Q: When should I apply for corporate matching?

A: Apply as soon as you make your donation. Some companies distribute corporate matching funds right away, while others process them once a quarter. Some companies have strict time constraints within which employees must submit corporate match applications. If your company offers corporate matching, please apply for it right away!

Q: What if I still have questions?

A: For questions regarding your company's programs, please contact your employer's HR or community giving department. Much of the necessary information is also available on your company intranet.  For questions regarding submitting a matching gift or volunteer grant request to us, please contact us using the information provided on this page.
