Empowering PTSOs to Foster Inclusion in Schools and Communities

Thursday, March 28th @ 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Online on Zoom

Please join us on Thursday to talk about how we can work together toward increased inclusion in schools. This session is for all PTSO consituents: parents, teachers, and students! The goal of the session is to help equip the entire PTSO body with the vocabulary and tools to effect change and also to provide an opportunity for these constituents to develop a plan on initial areas they would like to improve.

Presented by Christina Horner, MS Ed

Christina began her trajectory as student, educator, administrator, volunteer, parent, a former 10-year town director of METCO, the nation's longest running voluntary school desegregation program, and is currently the Secretary for the Wellesley School Committee. These experiences positioned her to grasp the realities of racial inequality in the educational system and the lasting impact on society.  Christina is an equity strategist who provides leadership and instructional coaching support, consultation, and training to individuals and groups with the ultimate goal of creating equitable and inclusive schools and communities where everyone thrives. She also collaborates with institutions and organizations to spearhead events, projects, and programs that fully embrace diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Christina's educational background includes a B.A. in business from Boston College and an M.S. in education from Lesley University, underscoring her commitment to marrying business acumen with educational expertise.
