The PTSO invites you to join us on Thursday, May 4th, for the final Parent Speaker Series event of the school year, "Fostering Resilience in our Kids and Ourselves" with Juliana Chen, MD and Tai Katztenstein, PhD. The presentation will focus on how parents and caregivers can best support resilience building, communication, positive connection, and children's emotional development in the context of parenting challenges now and over the last three years. Attendees have the opportunity to learn practical strategies to support both kids and teens, as well as themselves. Dr. Chen is a child and adolescent psychiatrist at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, and a part-time clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School. She also serves as Associate Director of the MGH Center for Cross-Cultural Student Emotional Wellness, which supports the emotional and mental health needs of culturally diverse students. Dr. Katztenstein is a clinical psychologist and Director of Parent Guidance in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
