Students for Soldiers 3v3 Basketball tournament BHS, please make sure to sign up for the Students for Soldiers 3v3 Basketball tournament on November 21 in the gym. The cost is 10$ per team and all proceeds go to support homeless veterans in the Boston area. Email Anthony DeMarco, Meaghan Noone or Anna Biondo to sign up.
Marauder of the Week We’re happy to announce this week’s BHS Marauders of the Week! The winning students this week are Kripa Paudel and Jenna Crowley. You can read the profiles, by the Highpoint school newspaper, on the bulletin board outside the office. Congratulations to Kripa and Jenna!
Breast Cancer t-shirts Althought the breast cancer t-shirts are not being sold outside the cafe, they are available from Ms. Melnikoff in the Social Studies Office for $10. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society through our Making Strides team.
PALS Halloween Candy Drive for Troops Today is the last day of the PALS Club Halloween Candy Drive for the troops. Drop off your excess wrapped candy in the Main Office. The club will sort and weigh the candy and then bring it to a Watertown non-profit that regularly sends care packages to members of the military.
PALS Meeting: PALS will meet tomorrow, Thursday the 14th, from 2:30-3:15, in the LABBB room, 121. We'll sort, weigh, and box the Halloween candy to go to our troops
COMMUNITY SERVICE SOS and NEW: Shovel snow for Belmont's senior citizens this winter. The Beech Street Center will match you with a senior roughly in your neighborhood. We need many more shovelers! Sign up with Ms. Melnikoff. We need your name, email, phone, and address.
SOS and NEW: Belmont S.P.O.R.T. needs volunteers for their Ice Skating program, Sundays, 2-3PM, at the rink. The first session goes until December 15. Second session: January 5-February 16. Choose one or both. See Ms. Melnikoff to pick up 3 forms you must complete. Then bring them to Heidi Barberio at the Rec Dept.

BHS School Bus Schedule The school bus schedule for the morning will remain the same as last year. The afternoon buses will be picking up student at 3:00 and 3:15 pm outside of the parking lot doors.
LOST & FOUND All items in Lost & Found will be donated to charity on at the end of each quarter. If you think you have lost something check the Lost & Found. The next donation will be on November 13, 2019.
HANDBOOK RECEIPTS This is a reminder, in your belmontschools.net account, you will receive a link to the BHS student handbook. Please acknowledge that you have read the handbook.
MBTA STUDENT CHARLIE CARDS Any student who wishes to get a Charlie Card may pick one up in the main office.
SCHOOL SAFETY In an effort in keeping BHS a safe and secure school, please do not open or wedge doors during the school day. All doors, except a main entrance lobby door, are locked at 8:15 am. After 8:15 am, students should only use the main lobby door to enter and exit the building. Please do not use any other doors during the school day. At the beginning and end of the school day, students may use any of the outside doors to enter and exit the building.
LOCKING BIKES Students and Staff should be reminded to LOCK their bikes on the bike racks. We have observed numerous bikes not locked.
COMMUTER RAIL Crossing the Commuter Rail tracks is not only highly dangerous but is also considered trespassing. Trespassers are subject to substantial fines and arrest by MBTA Police and Belmont Police.
RECYCLING New to the school in common areas are recycling barrels for beverages. Screw all caps back on before recycling. Blue bins are for paper and Green bins are for plastic, aluminum or glass.
LOCKERS REMINDER Students are encouraged to lock the lock on their lockers. If you are having trouble with your lock/locker please see Mrs. Ouellette in the main office.
