Marauder of the Week

Each week, members of the staff nominate 2 seniors for the spotlight, for outstanding accomplishments ranging from citizenship to extracurricular activities to scholastic. Our own Highpoint school newspaper staff profiles these students, and the interviews are published in the Belmont Citizen-Herald and posted on the bulletin board by the main office. We are excited for this opportunity to highlight a broad group of the amazing students at BHS!

This weekend we celebrate the life and the message of Martin Luther King Jr. This day provides our students with a much needed day to catch up on sleep, and an opportunity to reflect on the courage of Rev. SAT Information for Students

BHS will be hosting a School Based SAT on 10/14 and 10/27 during the school day. It is different from taking a Saturday National test. You will not see the date on the Collegeboard website. All registrations and fees are done internally through the Guidance Department. BHS will then cut one big check for the college board after the test and mail all the tests back to Collegeboard for scoring. Hopefully, it is a typical grading timeline of around 19 days. Will scores be ready for ED/EA Nov 1st deadlines? That will be based on each individual college on when they will accept scores. Please sign up soon for one test date and only one test date. You cannot take the test twice during the two October tests at BHS as we are limited to only a certain number of students in the building and hallways due to Covid 19 restrictions.
