What will meals look like for my Belmont High student?

date 4/28/2021

Below are some meal updates as all schools offer full in-person learning on Thursday, April 29th.

Thank you to all the families who participated in the meal kit program over the last year – it’s been an incredible run!

Breakfast will still be an option and available most of the morning.

Menus are posted online at the Food Service website here: Food Services website.

No Payments for Full Meals / No Pin Numbers

All meals are free through the end of the 2021 school year for students. Students are limited to one breakfast and one lunch per day. Students will not need their pin numbers for the remainder of the school year. Full meals will include their main meal choice, up to three sides and a beverage.

No A La Carte or Second Meals

Snacks / bottled beverages will not be available for purchase nor are we allowing double lunches. Milk and juice will be available to accompany meals.

Lunch Start Times

Start times will be between 10:40AM and 12:15PM each day with the exception of Wednesdays.

Wednesday Grab N’ Go Lunches

Each Wednesday, Grab N’ Go Sandwich Boxes will be available in the servery from 12:15PM to 1:15PM to take home or consume outside the building.

Receiving Lunch and Exiting

All students will enter the serving area via the hallway which leads to the parking lot. There will be 4-5 meal options / day and most all will be pre-packaged (with the exception of the main meal of the day). Students will be monitored in numbers and not allowed to congregate within the servery. Student meals will be recorded and they will exit to the front of the building (from the cafeteria) and proceed outside to tents and green space.

Seating / Social Distancing

We will be utilizing outdoor tents and outdoor green space for lunch periods. The cafeteria space will not be used for on-site feeding.

Clean Up / Sanitation

Students will be responsible for cleaning up after themselves. We also ask that all students sanitize their hands before entering the cafeteria space.

Allergies / Gluten Free

We always ask parents/guardians to review the menu carefully prior to allowing their children to order. If your student/s has allergies on file with your building, we will be cross referencing meal orders to ensure your student with a life threatening allergy (LTA) does not receive a meal with their LTA.

Please update your school nurses with allergies you’d like on file. Gluten free meal requests should be made with the Food Service Office.

Remote Students / Meal Pick Up / Meal Delivery

MEAL PICK UP: Daily meal pick up is no longer available as of Thursday, April 28th, 2021. Once a week meal kits will still be available for K-12 students at Belmont High School on Wednesdays from 1:00PM to 2:30PM (while supplies last).

MEAL DELIVERY: This will no longer be available for K-12 families whether remote or in-person. The last meal deliveries for K-12 families will go out on Wednesday, April 27th, 2021.
