From the Principal's Desk - Week of Monday, October 12

Dear Belmont Families,

In this issue, you will find updates on:

  • Flu vaccinations
  • Student materials pickup
  • Student photos

A message from the high school nurses:

In case you’re tired of hearing about COVID-19, flu season is quickly approaching. Starting this year, all students must get an influenza vaccination by December 31. Getting the influenza vaccination has been shown to reduce the risk of flu illness, hospitalization, and death. Getting a flu vaccine can also save healthcare resources for the care of patients with COVID-19. You can find a vaccination site using this website https://www.cdc.gov/flu/freeresources/flu-finder-widget.html. Please send proof of vaccination administration to the school nurse. If you have any questions you can email Nurse Jackman cjackman@belmont.k12.ma.us or Nurse Burns bburns@belmont.k12.ma.us

Materials Pickup Update:

If you missed your materials pickup, we have your materials waiting for you at the school. Students or parents may pick up materials between 8am and 2pm Tuesday (10/13), Thursday (10/15), or Friday (10/16). You can pick up materials on Wednesday (10/14) from 8am - 11:30am. One of our campus monitors will oversee these materials, so please enter from the main doors (off the parking lot) when you come in and stop at the campus monitor desk.

If your child already picked up their materials and something was missing from the pile, please have them fill out this form. Please only complete this form if you’ve already picked up your initial materials and something was missing or incorrect. Once you’ve filled out the form, you may come to the school during the same time slots listed above to pick up materials (please give 24 hours from when you fill out the form before you come).

Technology Resources:

Students should be accessing their Google Meet links for each course. Google Classroom pages contain the Google Meet link. If your child is having difficulty with technology, please have them email studentsupport@belmontschools.net
