Interim Principal Tom Brow was a classroom teacher for seventeen years, a high school social studies department head for five years, and a principal for sixteen years in another school district. For the past five years he has served Belmont Public Schools in four capacities. First, he served as assistant principal at the Chenery Middle School. Then he was an instructional coach at the Chenery Middle School and Winn Brook School; he also evaluated teachers at the Wellington School. Last year, he served as the part-time assistant principal at Belmont High School.

Over the course of his career, Tom has received numerous awards and distinctions, such as Massachusetts Department of Education “Teacher of the Year” Runner Up Award, the “Middlesex District Attorney’s “Citizenship in Action Award,” and various "Certificates of Congressional Recognition;" and he has made a significant contribution to the field of education. Principal Brow led a $50 million new school building project, as well as other school initiatives. He is delighted to serve the students, teachers, parents, and stakeholders of the Belmont High School!
