January 30th Newsletter

As you know the amount of snow we received earlier in the week was extraordinary and troublesome to plow, shovel and remove.  The Belmont Public schools custodian and facilities department members were extraordinary in their efforts to ensure our schools were ready to open.  Thanks to them and to our Director of Facilities Gerry Boyle and Assistant Director of Facilities Fred Domenici for their leadership.  In addition, my thanks to out to our town Department of Public Works for such a well-coordinated effort under such difficult conditions, and our residents who cleared the sidewalks for our students to be able to get to school.

Please take care in coming to schools, as some sidewalks may still be impassable and the high snow limiting visibility for walkers and cars on the roads.

The 2015 Blizzard

I hope you all were able to stay safe and warm during the 2015 Blizzard. 

We are happy to announce that all Belmont Public Schools will be open tomorrow – Thursday, January 29, 2015 at our regular time.

As you know that the amount of snow was extraordinary and troublesome to plow, shovel, and remove. I would like to personally thank the Belmont Public Schools custodian and facilities department members who worked hard to ensure our schools were ready to open.

January 16th Newsletter

The New Year is off to a running start, and we are nearing the end of the second quarter of the school year.  Hard to believe the year is moving forward so quickly, but moving forward we are with school news and activities, and teaching and learning.

We celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. day this month, and are reminded of his message of peace, equality and justice
