As we prepare for the return to school, we will continue to highlight some Health and Safety guidelines and practices that will be implemented at the start of school. Supporting the safety of our students, teachers, staff, and community is our most important mutual priority. At Belmont Public Schools, keeping your students safe and in school is our top priority. We have learned a great deal over this past year and our current guidance and procedures reflect the most updated recommendations from the CDC and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

Reminders for travel, outdoors, physicals. If you are traveling out of state for longer than 24 hours, we require PCR testing of all students within 72 hours prior to your arrival back into Massachusetts or upon your return. Please be sure to quarantine until you receive your results.

Daily Symptom Check and Seasonal Allergy information. Those with asthma and seasonal allergies may experience an increase in symptoms as the pollen levels rise. Some of these symptoms such as itchy eyes, runny nose, sneezing, nasal congestion, post-nasal drip, cough, and even allergic asthma symptoms of wheezing and shortness of breath mimic those of COVID-19.
