We are super excited for our 11th FBE Apple Run! We’ve got a new 5K course, a new date, and a whole bunch of new fun added to this already great, community event! Make the most of your Halloween costume this year and come run in it – both courses are costume friendly  As in past years, the first 400 registered runners in the 2023 run will receive a hi-tec short sleeve ‘quik-dri’ running shirt.

BMHS Entry and Dismissal Procedures

The BHS and BMS leadership has been hard at work outlining the procedures for entry and dismissal for the BMHS campus for 2023-2024. Those procedures are described below. Please note that a map along with any updates will be sent out in August. Our aim is to provide clarity around what families can expect at the start of the school year.

Cityside Subaru of Belmont Donates $25,863 to the Foundation for Belmont Education as their Local Share the Love Charity! This national initiative by the car manufacturer has resulted in donations of more than $200 million to local charities across the United States. CITYSIDE SUBARU HAS DONATED MORE THAN $150,000 TO THE FBE through the Subaru Share the Love program. Thank you Cityside Subaru of Belmont for all your past donations, and this year’s wonderful donation of $25, 863!

Belmont Summer Enrichment 2023

Are you looking for fun, educational opportunities for your children this summer? If so, Belmont Summer Enrichment is a great choice for you! BSE offers a variety of different classes for incoming Pre-K through incoming grade 7, in addition to an intern program for incoming grades 8 & 9, and an early drop off option. 

Belmont Farmers’ Market Food Assistance Programs

Opening day is June 1, and we’ll have our second Food Assistance Information Fair. The main goal is to help people understand what benefits are available and how to sign up for them. But we also want the community to understand that food insecurity is a problem everywhere.

The Foundation for Belmont Education is delighted to announce the recipients of the 2023 Outstanding Teacher Awards (OTA) and the S. Warren Farrell Award for Educational Excellence, sponsored by Belmont Savings Bank Foundation. Recipients were selected among nominations submitted by students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and community members. Outstanding Teachers are recognized for their excellence in the classroom and for consistently making a difference in the lives of Belmont’s students.

The Belmont School Committee completed their screening and hiring process on Wednesday, 3/29/2023 and made an offer to Dr. Jill Geiser to become the next Superintendent of the Belmont Public Schools.
