BHS Winter Concert!

BHS Wind Ensemble

Department of Fine and Performing Arts cordially invites you to attend the annual BHS Winter Concert, which will take place on Wednesday, December 17 at 7 pm in the BHS Auditorium. The Winter Concert will showcase over 400 students performing in our bands, orchestras and choruses. Although it is still early in the school year, the ensembles all sound fantastic. Please find attached copy of the concert program, hopefully to entice you to join us on Wednesday. You’ll see that the selections will present a wide variety, from classics (Haydn, Telemann and Sousa) to the more exotic (Japanese Tune, by Soichi Konagaya). You’ll hear selections by Leonard Bernstein as well as everyone’s holiday favorite, Sleigh Ride, performed by the 130+ member Symphonic Winds.

If you can only attend one concert this year the Winter Concert would be a great one to choose since you’ll get to see all of our curricular ensembles at work, and why we are so proud and fortunate to teach music in this district. We hope that you will consider joining us on Wednesday for an evening of great performances by some truly outstanding music students.

Regardless of whether or not you can attend the concert, best wishes to all of you for restful – and well-earned –Winter Break.
