Belmont Public Schools Art Show

Belmont Public Schools Art ShowWe are happy to announce our annual “Belmont Public Schools Art Show” at the Belmont Gallery of Art.  In the past, the elementary schools have had a separate show from the middle school and high school.  This year, we will merge all of the schools to create a town wide K-12 Art Show.  We believe this format will help to showcase the amazing work of all of our art students in the Belmont Public Schools. This  will also allow families to see ways in which the art curriculum grows and spirals through the years.

With this new format in mind, we wanted to let families know ahead of time that there will be a much smaller selection of art work exhibited from each school. The work selected will represent the K-12 art curriculum from all 6 of our schools.  While this is a change from the past, we are very excited about this year’s student exhibition.  As always, you may  continue to see the work of your student on display throughout the year within their school.

The show will be open to the public from May 22nd – June 8th.  The opening reception is scheduled for May 28th. Letters will be going home to students that have a piece in the show during the week of May 22nd

Please contact your student’s art teacher directly or the Director of Fine and Performing Arts, Arto Asadoorian  aasadoorian@belmont.k12.ma.us  if you have any questions.
