Spread a Little Sunshine
The FBE has partnered again with Jayne’s Flowers to spread a little sunshine throughout Belmont. Deliveries weekly, from March 22 through April 12. Send a beautiful pot of daffodils anywhere in Belmont, hand-delivered by a FBE volunteer. What a great opportunity to spread some cheer and let a special person, family, school, or business know that you are thinking of them. Not only will you brighten up the recipient‘s day, you will also be supporting FBE grants, programs, and services in the process. See more details here.
PLEASE SIGN-UP TO HELP! Last year, over 800 potted daffodils were distributed to usher in Spring and support the FBE! Can you help:
- add address labels to the Flower Note Cards and sort batches for delivery
- deliver potted daffodils around Belmont

Nominate a Belmont Teacher Today!
The Outstanding Teacher Awards (OTA), sponsored by Belmont Savings Bank Foundation, recognizes the extraordinary contributions made by teachers in the Belmont Public Schools. Parents/guardians, students, and community members, are invited to nominate teachers who they feel deserve this special recognition. A sub-committee of the FBE then selects teachers from the nominations, one from each of the Belmont Public Schools, to be recognized as the Outstanding Teachers of the Year. The entire community is invited to celebrate these honorees at a ceremony on Thursday, May 4, at Belmont High School.
The S. Warren Farrell Award for Educational Excellence recognizes one educator for longstanding dedication and leadership in the Belmont Public Schools and contributions to the community. This award honors the legacy of S. Warren Farrell for his many years of dedicated volunteer work in Belmont community.
