PARENT INFORMATION SESSIONS:

Basic Rights, Evaluation and Eligibility
Presented by: The Federation for Children with Special Needs
Thursday, January 28th 2021 6:00-9:00pm VIA ZOOM
This session, Basic Rights, Evaluation and Eligibility; provides an introduction to and helps explain complex special education laws and procedures. Session topics include:
- Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Massachusetts Laws
- Evaluations and Referrals
- The Team Meeting
- Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 Plans
- Effective Progress
- Transition
- Review of Important Timelines
- Strategies for Success and more!
Who should attend? Families of students with identified special needs and those with questions about their students' learning.
As well as all interested community member including staff and teachers.
