SEL – District-Wide Presentations

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Information Sessions

What is Social and Emotional Learning?

Why has the Belmont Public Schools made SEL a district-wide focus?

How does SEL benefit our children?

How can parents support the SEL efforts of teachers and administrators?

The Foundation for Belmont Education (FBE) and the Belmont Public Schools invite you to learn about Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) at one of three presentations, led by SEL-expert and educational consultant Rachel A. Poliner. You’ve heard the buzz, now you can hear about the impact of SEL on your child’s academic, physical, social, and emotional health.

Monday, February 1st – Middle School Forum

Wednesday, February 3rd – High School Forum

All presentations will be held from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the Chenery Middle School Auditorium. While each presentation will focus on specific age/grade groups, please feel free to attend the presentation that best fits your schedule.
