BHS Marauder Marching Band with Jimmy Fallon in Harvard Lampoon Parade

The Belmont High School Marauder Marching Band were invited by the Harvard Lampoon to accompany this year’s recipient of the Elmer Award for Excellence in Humor, “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon, who was crowned by the Lampoon as the “Emperor of Comedy”.

Hundreds of people showed up to cheer Fallon as he and the Marauders paraded through Harvard Square on October 24, with Fallon in a chariot wearing a wreath on his head.  At the end of the parade, Fallon was presented with a trophy and a giant check for 85 cents.  According to The Harvard Crimson, Fallon said, “I could get a sugar packet at Starbucks…this is amazing.”
