Career Vocational Technical Education (CVTE)

The Town of Belmont voted to withdraw from the Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical School District effective September, 2020.  Any Belmont students interested in attending Minuteman applied for any open spots designated for out-of-district towns. There are seven Belmont students who have been admitted to Minuteman as freshman for the 2020-21 school year.  All Belmont residents previously enrolled at Minuteman are able to continue through their graduation as out-of-district students. There are 44 Belmont students currently enrolled at Minuteman for the 2020-21 school year.  In addition, there are three Belmont residents attending Medford Vocational Technical High School as out-of-district students for the 2020-21 school year.

Students interested in CVTE will be introduced to the application process during the fall of the 8th grade school year.  The Chenery Middle School guidance counselor will work with interested students throughout this process. The Town of Belmont is responsible for the tuition and transportation for all students enrolled in CVTE programs in these two districts.
