A sample of annual events that have been turned into a 'Wellington Tradition'...
Playdates for Incoming Kindergartners - The first day of school for any kindergartner can be intimidating. Playdates are scheduled over the summer and just before school for those kids to feel a little more confident and allow them to get to know some of their peers before that first day of school.
Multicultural Events - Belmont is a true melting pot of all nationalities! Multicultural events are held three times year and designed to explore the many cultures represented in our school, whether by heritage or by interest. We always have great food and lots of fun learning from one another.
November Book Fair - Scholastic Books has joined with Wellington to offer an educational and fun fundraising event. Search no more for that holiday gift - you can find all sorts of books here for any scrupulous relative or friend!
Winter Carnival - Escape the dreary and cold weather in March, and spend a Saturday at the Winter Carnival! The high school field house is filled with inflatables, traditional carnival games, fun crafts, and our annual gently used book sale. See the magic and fun of Blossom the Clown. There's no better way to spend the day with friends and their families!
3rd and 4th grade Field Day - Get out your child's favorite sneakers and come volunteer with your whistle for the annual field day held in June every year. The kids are all escorted out and walk down to the high school track field where they are led in an assortment of track & field with a twist activities for the day.
4th grade send-off - It can be hard going from 'top dog' of the elementary school down to 'bottom of the food chain' in middle school. The fourth grade send off is a celebration and bon farewell to all 4th graders held in June every year after school hours.
