Community Service

The Community Service Club is open to all 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys and girls, and meets on Thursdays to organize programs that benefit others.  Each year students choose community service projects to undertake.  In the past, activities have included:

    • Raking leaves for the elderly, in conjunction with the Council on Aging
    • Organizing an annual Food Drive to benefit the Belmont Food Pantry
    • Running a clothing drive to benefit those in need
    • Administering a “Penny Drive” in conjunction with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

The club provides a nice opportunity for students to participate in altruistic activities that cultivate a sense of empathy, while assisting people with needs.
