8th Grade Class Party:

7th Grade Parents Needed:

Traditionally, 7th grade parents chaperone during the 8th grade class party. Chaperoning is fun and gives you an opportunity to see what your 7th grader will experience next year!

The 8th Grade Class Night Party is Wednesday, June 18th from 6:30pm-9pm. It will be here before we know it. The party offers pizza and an ice cream sundae bar, games and prizes, activities (e.g. DJ/dancing, temporary tattoos, bungee run) and lots of fun.

We need lots of volunteers - typically 40 parents from the hours of 5:45pm-9pm (shifts will be available)

To volunteer, please contact Barb Chinoporos at or Martha Brown at

8th Grade Parents Needed:

While the 7th grade parents are kind enough to chaperone the actual party, 8th grade parents are needed to set up activities and games in advance of the party (3:45-6:30pm) and clean up (9pm till done!). Your help is greatly appreciated!!

To volunteer, please contact Heidi Sawyer at

Prizes are given out for games and raffles. In the past, parents donate small denomination gift cards to places like Rancatore's, Brothers, Comella's, Bruegger's, Moozy's, etc. Donations can be dropped at the Chenery Main office in an envelope marked "8th Grade Class Prizes.” Parents of all grades are able to donate to this.

For questions, contact Melina Jacovides at

8th Grade Farewell Breakfast:

7th Grade Parents needed 8:30am-10:30am:

Traditionally, on the last day of school, 8th graders and their parents gather for a farewell ceremony in the auditorium after which they're invited to the cafeteria for refreshments. We need 7th grade parents to help during the reception (replenishing food, clean up, etc.). It's a nice volunteer opportunity - short, meaningful and fun.

To volunteer, please contact Debbie Hartman at
