The Belmont Public School Department of Fine & Performing Arts is proud to announce the 5th Grade Concert. The concert will feature the 5th Grade Orchestra, Band, and Choruses and will highlight their learning through the whole year. Every 5th grade student will participate in this event. • Tickets for the upcoming show, "Once Upon a Mattress" are now on sale.
• Just a reminder that the 2014 DC Early Bird deadline is May 1^st.
• 5^th Grade Activities Ice Cream Sundae and Music Party on Tuesday, April 30^th, in the CMS cafeteria.
• Chamber Singers will NOT meet on Monday due to the musical. See you at 2:30 on May 6^th.
• Ms. Ripley is looking for broken crayon bits of any color to melt down and make larger crayons for kids who need a bigger grip.

• The last meet of the Lower School Math Club for this school year is on April 23, 2013.
• The Otis Spunkmeyer cookie dough will be arriving on Tuesday, April 23, 2013.
• Community Lunches will take place the week of April 22, on Tuesday only.
• Starting after break, we will offer a short recess for interested 6^th graders at the start of the lunch period (M,T,Th, and F). 
• The Chenery Theater Arts would like to announce that tickets are now on sale for the performance of “Once Upon a Mattress”.

Returning to school

In the aftermath of the tragedy at the Boston Marathon, and the events of the past few days, the reopening of school is very much on my mind.  I know that many students, faculty, and their families were deeply impacted by these events and may return to school with mixed emotions and varied experiences.

Chamber Singers will meet on Monday from 2:30 – 3:30.
Yearbooks for sale!!  Buy online through the Chenery website or pick up a form in the main office.  Yearbooks are $20 each and orders must be in by April 4^th.
There will be a Community Service Club meeting next Thursday in room 315.  A guest speaker will present at this meeting.
Spring Musical Tech Crew will meet on Wednesday, April 3^rd, at 2:30 in Mr. Haywood’s room.  Please be sure to check your email for updates.  See you then!

Teaching Live from Nova Scotia
