*Rainforest Reptiles
Presenter:  Anthony Lauranzano

Anthony Lauranzano, a Rainforest Reptile Shows herpetologist, came to our school for a visit.  He talked with us  about rain forest animals that many of us don't  know anything about.  We met a red-footed tortoise named "Dumpy Dozer"; a lizard named "Big Bert";  a Red-Tailed Boa Constrictor named "Lily" and  "Mr. Wiggles II", an alligator from Florida.

We also  met 8 more little animals including a tarantula, scorpion, lizard, 2 millipedes, frogs, and snakes.

We learned  that we can get some medicine from the rain forest.  We need to take good care of the rain forests so the animals and plants will survive.  You can learn more about animals that live in rain forest by going to Anthony's website at

"Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the park.  Buy me some peanuts and crackerjack, I don't care if I ever come back.  For it's root, root, root for the home team.  If they don't win it's a shame, for it's ONE, TWO, THREE  strikes you're out at the ole ballgame!"
We gathered together in the lobby outside of Mr. Franey's  gym to cheer on our favorite hometown team, The Boston Red Sox!  We watched the game and hoped that our team would win their first game of the season and many more!  We know that whatever the final score, all of the players who are  good sports will be the winners!
