We observed this Painted Lady Butterfly grow in our classroom from a caterpillar to a chrysalis to a butterfly!
Some of our Painted Lady Butterflies flew high in the sky right away and some stayed near us for a lovely visit!

We found caterpillars on the plant leaves and on the ground in the Nature Study Center! Some were large and some were small. It was exciting to see the caterpillars because they are the second stage in the life cycle of butterflies!
