The Butler PTA welcomes parents to contribute in a variety of ways.  Specific committee membership is an easy and fun way to help. For 2012-13 we need help with the following positions:

Co-President-Elect: Help oversee and coordinate work of PTA committees, run PTA meetings and attend PTA events. Work with Executive Board to create and monitor budget. Meet regularly with Principal. Consult with PTA/O Presidents from other Belmont schools. This is a 'president-in-training' position.

Nominating Committee: Help find at least one eligible person to nominate for each board officer position (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer) in May.

Electronics Recycling Coordinator:  Schedule date, time with the recycling company (CRT).  Coordinate PTA volunteers to help monitor and assist CRT and receive collection fees.

Art Show Coordinator: Design art stations for children to express their creative side. Oversee event and coordinate event volunteers. This position is open to the coordinator’s creative vision.

Art Show Committee: help display collected art work, plan and prepare art stations, and help staff event.

Book Fair Committee: Help staff the book fair, held twice yearly.

International Day Committee: International Day is a bi-annual event that showcases the diverse cultures at Butler. Previous International Days included table displays of international locations, crafts, games and performances. Committee members will work closely with the committee chair to brainstorm ideas, recruit parent volunteers and organize the event.
